New Prius all set to be launched

For all the environment buffs who feel they have to give back to the environment in any way possible now get their chance to do so with the all new Prius as it made its lauch at the Detroit Motor Show this week. This is the 2010 Prius which is releasing after the vastly popular 2003 model which sold more than all the other hybrids put together. Coming back to the new model, this claims to have an improved mileage of 50mpg which is a boost from its previous 46mpg claim. Also sporting a more powerful 1.8L engine, things are now looking bigger and better for Toyota who will face strong competition in the form of the new Honda Insight which is also going to be launched this year.

One new feature that reinforces the image of Prius being the environmentally friendly are the new solar panels which are present on the roof and help to maintain the temperatures inside the car when standing in the sun too long.
