IPTV for British XBox users in 2009?

This has been old news but recent reports have suggested that British users are going to be a happy lot this year with IPTV releasing for them this year itself. Now this is not a press release but rather subtle hints given by the Mediaroom rep. She admitted that “multiple carrier field trials” were in progress and the the service should be available for consumers soon.

But the sad news is that there was no comment on the availability with different partners or in different regions. Though, there is the possibility of a tie-up with AT&T who has been the primary partner for broadcasting television services in the US (with U-verse)

Nothing to do except wait (pray) and watch.
