Compaq Presario comes up with an Atom, the CQ2009F
Categories: Desktops

With the advent of netbooks, the trend seems to be making its way into the desktop section too. This new release from Compaq Presario, the CQ2009F is precisely what we are talking about. The size is compact too with the following measurements: 4.41- x 10.71- x 9.69-inches.
The specs are good enough for normal browsing and basic tasks. It incorporates an Intel Atom 230 CPU, 1GB DDR2 RAM, a 160GB HDD, Ethernet, integrated audio, a 6-in-1 card reader, a few USB 2.0 ports and the standard VGA output.
The beloved Windows XP will be taking care of your daily tasks whereas the bundled DVD writer will bail you out when you need to burn a disc. There is also a bundled keyboard and mouse along with the package.
We can safely say that there is nothing spectacular about it but the $269.99 price tag is quite tempting to keep as a secondary rig for your basic everyday usage. What say?
