Altec Lansing comes out with yet another device for tingling your ears and let you enjoy your music like never before. But this time it’s not another 2.1 speaker set. This brand new design is going to change your conception of how speakers should look.

The new SoundBar FX3020 offers superb music quality using Altec Lansing’s proprietary ESS signal-processing immersion technology. This gives surround sound a whole new meaning. LCD users have another option of keeping the speakers neatly under their monitor and minimize wastage of space.

The complete package comes with a small adapter, a long speaker cable for use with your computers output, as well as a short cable for auxiliary input. This means that all music buffs can listen to their iPods without disconnecting the speakers from the computer. The strip above the volume knob is illuminated by a blue light which adds to the oomph factor. A headphone input is also provided for moments when you need your privacy.

This is available for around $60 and so is quite VFM in our opinion. For the complete specs, go here

Antec today has released another case for the HTPC users who demand nothing but excellence to satisfy their entertainment needs. Antec is a leading company in manufacturing high-end computer cabinets. Named the MicroFusion Remote 350, this is another spectacular release which will fool your guest into thinking that you have the latest sound system from Denon.

Impressive feature list includes aluminium front bezel, LCD display, built-in IR receiver to give you the control your PC via remote. The case itself is silver with slight black accents. There are enough fans to keep your case cooled yet ensure that it doesn’t sound like a washing machine running its rinse cycle. It includes a 350W 80+ certified power supply so you can save the costs of picking up a new power supply.

The case is available at around $200, so it isn’t exactly cheap. But we’ve come to expect quality from Antec and quality is what we get. Wish it was a little cheaper.

For the complete specs, head over to Antec MicroFusion 350

I knew that this day was not far but it still does not cease to amaze me how much technology has progressed. Patriot’s 64GB is a tough looking product with simple yet business like looks. Vista certified and much larger when compared to other pen drives, this pen drive is definitely going to stand out.

Has a much lower access time, read as well as burst time when compared to other pen drives from reputed companies like SanDisk and Corsair, it proves that the massive size is not a liability.

Only disadvantage in picking this up right now is the price which is around $150. Which is more expensive than even an external 1TB hard drive. But, if price is no issue, then this is the best pen drive you can get!

If you’re one of those people who were absolutely blown away by the release of the Optimus Maximus OLED keyboard, but couldn’t decide whether to buy a computer or a keyboard then you can also get a piece of the action with the new OLED keyboard released by UnitedKeys.

OLED keyboards utilize the Organic Light Emitting Diode technology which ensures reduced power usage. Each product has 9 OLED display keys. These keys provide Image‐based interactivity — where pictures and icons change dynamically on individual keys. So, images can change according to the user’s application. UnitedKeys claims large savings in time and input hence increasing efficiency.

Each side of the keyboard has a lens which emits a blue light. This is more than sufficient to see the conventional non-lit up keys and work in a dark environment.

Priced conservatively as compared to the Maximus, though still expensive at 259$ for the 103 keys keyboard and 199$ for the keypad. But the cheapest OLED keyboard available at the point.

Apple, Google and Microsoft were at the recieving end this time when a small Indiana company, Cygnus filed a lawsuit against them claiming infringement.

The software in question relates to a common file preview feature used by the browsers and operating systems developed by the above mentioned companies. It shows users small snapshots of the files before they are opened.

The patent in question (#7346850) was applied for by Cygnus in 2001. It includes a “System and method for iconic software environment management”. It was granted in March of this year.

Cygnus’s owner and president Gregory Swartz developed the technology laid out in the patent while working on IT consulting projects, McAndrews said. The company is looking for “a reasonable royalty” as well as a court injunction preventing further infringement, he said.

According to Matt McAndrews, on behalf of Haller & Nero, the law firm representing Cygnus, they have identified other vendors too who may have infringing products and will take action soon.

Do not copy Coming24 website content.

Microsoft have finally announced the name of the upcoming Windows release, it’s going to be called wait for it… Windows 7. It’s a pretty boring name really and windows hasn’t been called its build number since Windows 3 but on the Microsoft blog they have stated that going back to the new naming system is because of simplicity. They tried dates, 95, 98 and 2000 but they don’t release new versions often enough to justify naming Windows versions after their year. Microsoft have also tried “aspirational” names such as XP and Vista but couldn’t come up with a name suitable for the new version.

Personally I liked the names of XP and Vista they didn’t have any meaning but rolled off the tongue and sounded cool to say not only that but people knew what you were talking about, with this new version you are going to have to say “Windows 7” and not just “7” which may be a branding move from Microsoft.
