500 million and going strong!

Apple never seems to surprise us with their cutting edge technology and next generation gadgets. But it has surprised one and all with the latest news that 500 million applications have been downloaded via their Apple store. Now that is something! Though this includes both free and paid apps, but there is no doubt that this is a remarkable feat considering the fact that this took just 6 months of opening the Apps store. If compared with the last time Apple achieved this milestone, it took Apple nearly two years. Yes, we are talking about the Apple Music Store here.

With the advent of the Android and the possibility of paid apps, it is going to be interesting to see the situation after say, another 6 months or so.
