2Go PC by CTL now available

CTL released the 2Go PC finally at the CES 2009 as promised by them around a year back. Called the Classmate PC, this is actually a convertible tablet that lets you seamlessly switch between a conventional laptop with a keyboard to a tablet with touchscreen interface. The specs include a 8.9″ screen, 1.6GHz AtomCPU, 1GB RAM, 60GB HDD and inbuilt WiFi. The body may not be appealing to everyone but it is not meant to compete with the likes of Sony. It is supposed to give you quality keeping the price in mind and it seems to have succeeded to a great extent.

Need more? It also has a built-in accelerometer that senses orientation and switches between portrait and landscape mode effortlessly. The best part? It is priced at $549 for the version with Windows XP. Pretty VFM. Check for details here
